Many local organisations, groups and agencies have links with Taunton Baptist Church – and we are pleased to support them practically, financially, in prayer and through members of the church volunteering with them:
Taunton Street Pastors – trained volunteers from local churches who care for, listen to and help people who are out on the streets
Taunton Team Chaplaincy who bring Christian care and practical support to the people of our town
Taunton Foodbank helping local people in crisis – part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK
Taunton Area Debt Advice – offering free debt advice to individuals and families struggling with personal debt
CHARIS – bringing hope and transforming the lives of refugees
National/International
We recognise that we are part of the worldwide church of Christ and have a number of national affiliations:
We are part of the wider Baptist family through our membership of the Baptist Union of Great Britain (BUGB).
We are part of the South West Baptist Association (SWBA) – the family of around 90 Baptist churches covering Devon, Cornwall, West & South Somerset and a small part of Dorset.
We support BMS World Mission – an evangelical mission agency transforming the lives of people in fragile states and under-evangelised communities.
We have particular mission partnerships with:
